What would this time of the year be without Christmas Lights? Whether Christmas light displays consist of a lonely string of icicle bulbs haphazardly attached to a pot plant, or one of those Arizona Christmas lights displays that entail police supervision of the traffic bottlenecks they cause, or even the tiny “people” of m&m Christmas lights, this remains true.

Christmas tree lights may be traditional or zany; your personal Christmas light show may spread to your whole house and include the patio and porch, if you so desire. Christmas lights come in novelty versions – with spun glass or wicker, even wafer-thin open-ended steel casings, acquired for next-to-nothing from junk sales, or costing a month’s salary.

Animated Christmas lights on the side of the street, or even along the streets themselves, will provide a Christmas light display like no other. However, it is a known fact that simply festooning garden gnomes with what you deem to be Christmas light is just a lazy short-cut.

Christmas light shows, however, are best held under adult supervision – and the switches and other paraphernalia associated with them are always to be checked with a Christmas light tester, which has been constructed specifically for the purpose, rather than one of those wired screwdrivers that light up if there is a fault in the string.
Crazy Christmas lights have skyrocketed in popularity; however, one must always make sure they conform to standards of safety; one short-circuit can cause thousands of dollars’ worth of damage to property, not to mention fatal accidents.
